When it comes to zinc supplements, the biggest misconception is thinking that the entire supplement dosage is zinc. In reality, only a percentage of a zinc supplement is actual elemental zinc. Now, how much zinc do you need on a daily basis?
In general, most people need around 10-15 mg of zinc per day, and this can come from either food, or supplements. However, some people may require more, or less, depending on their individual needs.
